Coaching
HOW IT WORKS
Choose a track you wish to get coaching at that has trackdays/races.
Choose a level of training you think MOST applies to you
Contact me to discuss your current riding level, level of training desired, and goals.
You pay track entrance/riding fees for self and coach, travel fees (.48c per mile from current location unless otherwise arranged during email), and $250 per day of coaching for tires/pads/oil used on the motorcycle. Travel fees will be paid up front, all other fees at the track day of coaching.
I started this to get more track time, grow the racing community, and to get more Americans involved in competitive motorcycle racing.
Concepts (Level 1)
Learning the basic concepts of track riding is fundamental to beginning the journey to racing. Some of the principals we learn while being a street rider and even attending street riding safety courses can be incorrect, or applied differently when track riding. The basics are where all your speed will come from.
*For novice to intermediate track riders looking to improve personal best times, feel more comfortable, and spend less energy fighting the bike.
Racing (Level 2)
Racing can feel like a large leap from trackdays for some riders. Knowing what to expect, and how to handle it, can be the difference between a good day racing and a ride to the emergency room. Race starts, alternate race lines, block passes and late braking are new fundamentals a racer must be comfortable with.
*For high level intermediate to advanced track day enthusiasts and new racers looking to be more competitive, and learn basic race craft.
Podium (Level 3)
Racing is meant to be as competitive as possible, and racers know the pilot of the motorcycle is more than 50% of any winning equation. How to study the track, learning the limits of traction, weight distribution, data collection, and capitalizing on mistakes by opponents are just some of the race craft required to learn to move up the ladder.
*For AMA Licensed (or equivalent) amateur and above racers who are currently racing, looking to fight for championships, and be able to get up to speed at a new track more quickly.
